This natural, untreated mountain rock salt comes from the Altaussee salt mine in the heart of the Salzkammergut. This traditional salt is still mined by hand and has one of the highest mineral contents of all the world’s natural salts. The salt gets its unique reddish-brown colour from the rock’s high iron content. There is hardly any meal that cannot be refined with a pinch of salt to give it the perfect finish.
